<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a microorganism having one or more deleted regions ≥10 kb in size on its chromosomal DNA. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the microorganism comprises transforming a microorganism by using a straight-chain DNA having a drug-resistant gene and also having on both ends DNAs respectively homologous to DNAs located outside of both ends of a region on the chromosomal DNA as a target for introducing substitution(s) or deletion(s). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
