PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple optical axis photoelectric switch which efficiently eradicates the influence of disturbing external light incident from an another device, etc., at similar timing. SOLUTION: When a light reception signal outputted by a synchronous circuit along any optical axis between a light projecting unit and a light receiving unit changes from a state showing that an object to be detected is not detected to a state showing that the object is detected, a microcomputer disposed at the light receiving part side of this multiple optical axis photoelectric switch changes output timing of a start pulse to change the start timing of a light projection scanning operation by a light projecting control circuit.
