<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detection of a disconnection in a turn signal indicator having LED with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A flashing control circuit 100a detects a voltage drop across a current detecting resistor 120 during flashing control, and, if the voltage drop is lower than a predetermined threshold value, detects a disconnection in the turn signal indicator. If either of the left and right LED lamps 850a and 850b under the flashing control is disconnected, the LED lamp outputs a disconnection detection signal to turn on a transistor 130a of a switching circuit 130. This results in short across the current detecting resistor 120, and the voltage drop across the current detecting resistor 120 is thereby lowered equal to or below the threshold value for the disconnection detection, allowing the flashing control circuit 100a to detect the disconnection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
