PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for force measuring frictional which can measure the frictional force generated between a running magnetic tape and a magnetic head which makes contact with the sliding magnetic tape at each of the plural points in the direction of the tape width of the magnetic tape. SOLUTION: The frictional force measurement device 1 is constituted with probes 10A-10D and electric circuits connected to each of the probes 10. The probes 10A-10D are constituted with a frictional force measurement component 12 attached to a component holding instrument 11 and a tip of the component holding instrument 11, in order to contact a magnetic tape MT and sensors 13, 13 attached to the side part on the running direction A for the magnetic tape MT on the component holding part 11. By detecting the flexure (vibration) for the component holding instrument 11 for each of the probes 10 using the sensors 13, when the frictional force measurement component 12 contacts the magnetic tape MT, the frictional force can be measured at each of the plural points P1-P4 in the direction of the tape width of the magnetic tape MT.
