PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost device for driving an objective lens which consists of a small number of parts, is simple to assemble, and has small power consumption. SOLUTION: A lens holder 1 is movable along a pivot 6 parallel to the optical axis of the objective lens 3 and is supported turnably around the pivot 6. The lens holder 1 is mounted with magnets 41 and 42. A base 5 where the pivot 6 is erected is mounted with focusing coils 71 and 72 having sides facing the magnets 41 and 42 and tracking coils 81 and 82. Yokes 91 and 92 are disposed in such a manner that the focusing coils 71 and 72 and the tracking coils 81 and 82 are respectively held between the magnets 41 and 42. The yokes 91 and 92 have sections 91a and 92a facing the respective magnetic poles of the magnets 41 and 42 and extension sections 91b and 92b extending away from the magnets 41 and 42.
