PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens drive unit which can simultaneously achieve improvement in rigidity of a driver and improvement in vibration attenuation characteristics of the driver, and to provide an optical pickup device and a manufacturing method of the objective lens drive unit. SOLUTION: A focusing coil 21 wound up in a tube shape is set on a lens holder 20 in a state in which a sub-part of the peripheral direction 21a is facing on the lens holder 20. The sub-part of the peripheral direction 21a and a counter section 21b of opposite side of the sub-part of the peripheral direction 21a are connected and fixed by a reinforcement member 23 set up in the focusing coil 21, and transformation of the coil is prevented. The rigidity of the focusing coil 21 is reinforced and the entire rigidity of the driver 10 can be improved. Vibration exerted from outside of the driver 10 is absorbable, since the lens holder 20 consists of materials excellent in vibration attenuation characteristics.
