PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a floor area required for installation by using effectively a space, compared with a known example. SOLUTION: This activated carbon type gas hold-up system has a concrete wall 1a integrated with a building, and the space surrounded by the concrete wall 1a is partitioned by concrete walls 1c to be divided into a plurality of rooms. A lining 9a is executed in an inner face of each of the concrete walls to prevent leakage of exhaust gas, and the each room is sealed with an upper lid 8a. The lid 8a is provided in the each room to allow maintenance room by room. Boxes 5a included with active carbon 4a are stacked in the each divided room to form a flow passage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
