PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sample remaining in a transfer pipe from interfusing in a carrier gas and influencing an analysis when a large quantity of the liquid sample is introduced into a sample vaporization chamber through the transfer pipe. SOLUTION: A carrier gas supply pipe 35 for supplying the carrier gas to the vaporization chamber 21, is provided and separated from the transfer pipe 36. A supply flow path for supplying the liquid sample to the transfer pipe 36 through a flow path switch valve 34 and a discharge pipe 39 having an inserted flow path opening and closing valve 37 are selectively connected. After the liquid sample is injected into the vaporization chamber 21, the valve 34 is switched while the valve 37 closes and the vaporized sample is transmitted into a column 23 along with the carrier gas flow. After all sample enters into the column 23, the valve 37 opens, the carrier gas partially reflows from the vaporization chamber 21 to the transfer pipe 36 and is outwardly discharged from the discharge pipe 39. The sample remaining in the transfer pipe 36 is purged without a passage through the vaporization chamber 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
