PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer wall structure, allowing one building worker to perform arrangement construction of a secondary heat insulating material. SOLUTION: Two or more vertical sash bar materials 6 elongated in the vertical direction are respectively erected along the outside of a wall body 1 at designated spaces in the cross direction of the wall body 1. The longitudinal space formed between the adjacent vertical sash bar materials is filled with a secondary heat insulating material 3 to form an outside heat insulation layer. A plurality of vertical furring strips 7 having a designated thickness inward and outward and elongated in the vertical direction are disposed at designated spaces in the cross direction to be stacked on the outside of the vertical sash bar materials 6. The respective vertical furring strips 7 are fixed along the overlapping vertical sash bar materials 6. An outer wall material 5 is fixed substantially parallel to the wall body 1 outside the vertical furring strips 7. The space surrounded with the outer wall material 5, the outer heat insulation layer and the adjacent vertical furring strip 7 and communicated in the vertical direction is taken as a ventilation gap 4.
