PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a unit for a self-closable sash capable of automatically closing the sash totally after the lapse of a specified time from a sash opening time and automatically locking it although it manually opens a double sliding opening/closing sash. SOLUTION: The unit is provided with first and second frames 11, 12 fitted to double sliding opening/closing sashes 2, 3, respectively, a spring means 13 urging the sashes 2, 3 assembled straddlingly on frames 11, 12, respectively, in the totally closing direction, a motor 15 driving to roll up the spring means 13 in the sash closing direction, and a lock means 19 automatically locking the sashes 2, 3 in the totally closing position.
