<p>A flexible tube of an endoscope, comprising a flexible tube part (15) having a net-like tube (38) formed by knitting two or more metal wires and covering the outer peripheral surface of a spiral tube (37) and a skin (39) covering the outer surface of the net-like tube (38), wherein the skin (39) is formed by using a high polymer material contracted by heat resulting from autoclave sterilization, and a force to extend the flexible tube (15) in longitudinal direction by a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the endoscope is generated in the flexible tube (15) during the autoclave sterilization but offset by a force generated in the skin (39) to contract the skin (39) in longitudinal direction.</p> |
