The tank contains at least one cavity (2) containing a heater (8) with at least one heat radiating element (9) for heating the working liquid and/or fuel. The tank walls (3) include a peripheral wall (4). In a region of its underside (7) is located the heating element. The element is typically a rod and/or heating coil secured at the wall underside by fastening members (10). The heating element may have a tubular cross-section, through which flows a fluid, e.g. the engine heated cooling water.
