A torque-angle wrench (10) has a torque preset alert circuit (28) which provides a first signal when a predetermined torque level is reached, an angle sensing circuitry (22, 23) providing a second signal corresponding to angular rotation, output circuitry (24, 25) responsive to the second signal for providing an indication of angular rotation, and switch circuitry (27) for preventing the second signal from reaching the output circuitry until the occurrence of the first signal.
