<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method whereby similarity determination can be more suitably carried out among images narrowed down, by narrowing down the images for determining similarity among a great number of images. <P>SOLUTION: Image data i0-in stored in an HDD 104 and their attribute information are read out, and image data used as objects for determining similarity are designated based on an image display by an image display program 110. A similarity determining program 120 is started to compare the attribute information of the designated image data with the attribute information of the other image data, and the image data used for determining similarity are decided.
