<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an image evaluation method and an image evaluation system able to properly evaluate an image like being closer to a looking way of human being when evaluating the image based on the induction field of visual sensation. <P>SOLUTION: This image evaluation system has a visual sensation calculation means 11 for calculating the induction field of visual sensation for the image 10 being an evaluation object and an image evaluation means 12 for evaluating the image based on the induction field of visual sensation determined by this visual sensation induction field calculation means. A calculation of the induction field of visual sensation made by the visual sensation induction field calculation means 11 is made by taking into consideration information such as a color, a background and the number of electric charge of an inner point existing inside the contour including points for constituting the contour of the image being the evaluation object. The image evaluation means 12 determines an equal potential line and a potential value by using the induction field of visual sensation determined in this way, and evaluates the quality of a layout of the image and intensity of an impression of the image from these. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
