<p>Tryptophane derivs. of formula (I), their acid addn. salts and therapeutic compns. contng. them. R1, 2 = H, 1-6 C alkyl R3 = 1-6 C alkyl R4 = 1-12 C alkyl, 3-8 C cycloalkyl, Ph opt. substd. by alkyl, 7-10 C phenalkyl Et 5-hydroxy-alpha-Me/Et/i-Pr/Bu-tryptophane, octyl 5-hydroxy-alpha-Me-tryptophane. As sedative, tranquillising and antihypertensive agents. Active orally and parenterally. Also analgesic, muscle-relaxant and anxiolytic. Inhibitors of tyrosine-hydroxylase and aromatic aminoacid-decarboxylase. By catalytic redn. of the correspg. 5-benzyloxy-alpha-nitro cpd., first in the presence of PtO2 and then Pd-C.</p> |
