<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the mechanical damage to and the risk of contamination of a glass base panel 32 as to a container 10 for storing and transporting a susceptible plate-like object 32, especially for transporting a surface reformed glass base panel 32. <P>SOLUTION: This container 10 for storing and transporting a susceptible plate-like object is provided with an upper part 12 and a lower part 14. The lower part 14 is provided with two side faces 16, 18, two longitudinal side faces 20, 22 and a bottom part 24 which encircle a vacant space 26 for storing a plate-like object 32. Each side face 16, 18 is provided with a series of first ridges 28 perpendicularly relative to the bottom part and is formed with a plurality of guiding grooves 30 for the object 32. The upper part 14 is provided with an inner face part 64 which is in parallel when the container 10 is closed. On the part 64, a second protrusive ridge 72 is extended in parallel with both side faces 16, 18 and along the part 64 wholly, which controls the movement of the object 32 in the grooves 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
