PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative board 1 for furniture which can be attached to the furniture by a simple process, and can be formed with an opening of sufficient size. SOLUTION: A member for furniture consisting of elements for constituting the furniture includes a nearly planar material 11 which comprises a face board part 111 formed with the opening 111a through which a mobile member for imparting a prescribed function to the furniture is allowed to pass, and side board parts 112, 113 connected to the face board part 111. One or a plurality of grooves 114, 115 are formed in boundary areas on inner surfaces between the face board part 111 and the side board parts 112, 113, and the material 11 is bent or curved along the grooves 114, 115.
