PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pet cage, aiming to reduce its production cost. SOLUTION: This pet cage includes a cage body 10 having lattice-shaped side walls and opened state bottom surface, a bottom plate 20 for closing the opened bottom surface of cage body 10 and an engaging device 30 installed at the periphery of the bottom plate 20 for engaging a hook 33 of a buckle 31 with a side crosspiece 12 forming the side walls and drawing the crosspiece 12 toward the bottom plate 20 to engage the cage body 10 with the bottom plate 20, is characterized by making a width W1 between lengthwise crosspieces 11 and 11 for forming the side walls in a position opposing the buckle 31 of the engaging device 30 as slightly larger than the width W2 of the buckle 31.
