PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-temperature inner pressure flexural creep test method and its apparatus in a reliability evaluation test, which allows addition of bending stress conditions besides conventional conditions for temperature and pressure. SOLUTION: In a state where the cylindrical shaft of a test piece comprising a cylindrical pressure container is horizontally disposed, both ends of the shaft are supported. The test piece is circumferentially heated to and maintained at a predetermined temperature. Water is poured into the interior of the test piece for generating steam, and steam pressure is applied to maintain the test piece at a predetermined pressure. The state wherein a load is applied from an upper part to a lower part of the test piece in the axial central part thereof is kept for a long time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
