PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file which enables documents to be easily and smoothly taken out from a file pocket part, and enables the easy take-out of a holder for a business card and notepaper sheet, provided on the backside of a cover according to need, and the easy replacement of a back index. SOLUTION: This file comprises a cover part 1 which is composed of a front cover, a back cover and a spine, and a plurality of bag-shaped pocket parts 5 which are mounted so as to be capable of being fixed in or removed from a spine position and whose upper ends are opened; and longitudinally long holes 7 large enough to allow the entry of a finger are formed in width-direction central positions in the range of about one-third or less of an overall height from an upper edge of the pocket part 5, on the front and back sides of the pocket part, so that the documents can be smoothly taken out.
