PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanner in which light source lighting time is shortened and power consumption can be reduced. SOLUTION: The image scanner is provided with a CCD image sensor 4 with the number K lines of intervals, which has L line sensors that independently and simultaneously read an original image 2, a plurality of analog signal processing circuits 5a and 5b which analog-convert a plurality of reception signals from a CCD 4, a plurality of analog/digital conversion circuits (A/D conversion circuits) 6a and 6b which digitally convert the signals and a path switch circuit 9 changing over/outputting a non-delay digital data output from the A/D conversion circuit 6b and a delay data output from the line delay circuit 8.
