PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a lock mechanism of a sled motor and a tray at a driving-off state, in an eject-state of the tray even when a system controller is abnormal. SOLUTION: A signal from a tray position sensor 13 is provided to a connection point E to control a mute signal generating circuit 80a in the driver IC. When the system controller 31 is abnormal, the connection point E is set at LOW according to the signal from the tray position sensor 13, even though a Hi signal is output from buses 172, 75. The mute signal from the mute signal generating circuit 80a is output, and a sled motor driver, a spindle motor driver and a solenoid driver for driving a solenoid 28b of the lock mechanism are maintained at off state.
