PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device in which heating failure is suppressed even when a metal sleeve is used and temperature rise in a reinforcing member provided inside the metal sleeve is suppressed. SOLUTION: In a fixing device 10 to heat the image on recording material, the metal sleeve (fixing film) 13, a heater 11 brought into contact with the inner surface of the sleeve 13 and controlled to maintain the set temperature, a backup member 20 forming a nip part N crimping and carrying the heater 11 and the recording material through the sleeve 13 and the metal reinforcing member 30 installed inside the sleeve 13 are provided.
