PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter generator device that reduces load charged to an endless transmission belt of a reduction gear, compacts a torque transmission system itself to miniaturize an internal combustion engine, and has high power generation efficiency in a simple control system. SOLUTION: The starter generator device connected to an output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 has a planetary gear set, and a sun gear 23 is integrated with a notch plate 22 having a first notch and a second notch. The starter generator device has slide plate control means 39 and 40 for controlling engagement/release between a second pocket and the second notch by driving a slide plate 26 that is formed in a fixing member 27 and can regulate a function of a second spring strut 30 capable of engaging/releasing between the second pocket and the second notch of the notch plate 22. The slide plate control means 39 and 40 drive and control the slide plate 26 engageably between the second pocket and the second notch with the second spring strut 30 when the internal combustion engine is started.
