PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and a control device for an electric component of an automobile, for preventing the stop of the electric component such as a side mirror at an abnormal position, even when the power source voltage is lowered to be less than predetermined voltage. SOLUTION: The battery 30 voltage is monitored by a MPU 12. The MPU 12 gives an instruction to a driver circuit 11 only when the voltage is higher than the predetermined voltage, and the power is supplied from the battery 30 to a DC motor 5 to change an inclination angle of a side mirror body by a predetermined amount.
