The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a liquid carrier, valdecoxib and cyclodextrin derivative in an amount of at least about 5%, w/v, of the composition. The valdecoxib is in solubilized form and, at room temperature, the ratio of valdecoxib concentration to cyclodextrin concentration is greater than is achievable in a substantially similar solution but which comprises less than 5%, w/v, of said cyclodextrin derivative. |
