PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimmer system for expanding a usable light intensity range which is effective for a film unit with an attached lens and so on. SOLUTION: The dimmer system has: an element to generate electromotive force in response to an electromagnetic wave; and an element the optical density of which is changed by the electromotive force. The dimmer system utilizes: an optical element using a solar battery as the element to generate electromotive force in response to the electromagnetic wave; and an electrochromic dimmer filter having at least two or more kinds of materials to vary the optical density, wherein the two or more kinds of the materials vary the optical densities of respectively different wavelengths, as the element to vary the optical density.
