PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for processing the end of a vehicle seat by which the end of seat upholstery can be appropriately heat-welded under a simple structure, and a method for processing the end of the vehicle seat. SOLUTION: This device processes the end of the vehicle seat equipped with a bottom plate 30 and upholstery 10, for covering the bottom plate 30, the end part of which is heat-welded to the back of the bottom plate 30. In addition, the device comprises a means 41 for arranging the constituent members of the vehicle seat including the bottom plate 30 and the upholstery 10; a heating means 42 for melting at least a part of the back of the bottom plate 30; an upholstery turning-in means 43 with a flexible plate-like member 43a which extends almost horizontally to the inside from the outside of the arrangement means 41 and is foldable to the back of the bottom plate 30 from a position on the outer peripheral end part of the bottom plate 30; and a contact bonding means 42 for adhesively pressing the plate-shape member 43a, the upholstery 10 and the bottom plate 30 simultaneously.
