PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bleaching agent having high melanogenesis inhibitory activity and high in safety as well, and to provide cosmetics including skin care preparations and lotions blended with the bleaching agent and having e.g. bleaching effect and/or wrinkleproofing effect. SOLUTION: The bleaching agent comprises the ethyl acetate extract or ethyl acetate serial extract of Cortinellus shiitake basidiocarp as active ingredient. The cosmetics contain this bleaching agent.
