PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of preventing noise and unauthorized discharge caused by electrostatic force and unevenness of an interval between a front substrate and a back substrate. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel contains the back substrate, a number of barriers formed on the back substrate, the front substrate, a dielectric layer formed on the front substrate so as to have a groove having a prescribed depth along a region abutting on the barriers, and a grounding electrode formed along the groove of the dielectric layer and formed so that its both ends are commonly connected. Thereby, noise of a product is prevented from being produced, and quality of the product can be enhanced by optimizing operation conditions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
