PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the confidentiality of secret information to be transmitted in radio communication between electronic equipment and a terminal device. SOLUTION: A communication system 100 performs communication between an omnidirectional antenna 113 provided on a printer 101 and a directional antenna 131 or an omnidirectional antenna 132 provided on a PC 121. First, ciphered (deciphered) data are exchanged between the antenna 131 of the PC 121 and the antenna 113 of the printer 101; then the secrecy information is ciphered by a secrecy information ciphering program 125a, using a ciphered data stored in an cipher data table 125b; and the ciphered secrecy information is transmitted form the antenna 132 of the PC 121 to the antenna 113 of the printer 101. Then, the ciphered confidential information is deciphered by a cipher analyzing program 103a, using ciphered (deciphered) data stored in a ciphered data table 104a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
