PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent conductive film precursor from which a transparent conductive film of high conductivity and a transmission factor can be obtained, and a manufacturing method of the transparent conductive film of high conductivity and the light transmission factor by a low-cost and highly productive method. SOLUTION: (1) The transparent conductive film precursor has a silver halide emulsion layer on a physical development nuclei-layer installed on a transparent support. The precursor forms the transparent conductive film by triggering the action of a soluble silver complex salt forming agent and a reducer in an alkaline solution, and depositing metal silver in an image, and has a non-photosensitive layer containing a hydrophilic polymer on the farther side of the silver halide emulsion layer from the support. (2) In the manufacturing method of the transparent conductive film, metal is electrolytically plated with metal silver deposited on the transparent conductive film precursor as catalyst nuclei.
