PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data to be inputted during layer transfer continuously on a multilayered optical disk. SOLUTION: The optical disk recording device records data continuously on an optical disk which has a plurality of recording layers and on which wobbles on which flags expressing the start of a layer and the completion of a layer are superimposed are formed beforehand over the plurality of the recording layers. The device is provided with a memory 17 which has a function to through-output data to be inputted and a function to hold and output data to be inputted by control from the outside, and a detecting and control means which detects the flag information which is outputted when a PU (Pickup) 2 comes to the recording completion position of a specific recording layer and which expresses the completion of the layer and which performs control for making the memory 17 switch the inputted data from through to retention and which detects the flag information which is outputed when the PU 2 comes to the recording start position of the other recording layer on which data is to be recorded next and which expresses a start and which performs control for making the memory output the data held in the memory successively.
