PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporter raw material which has an open-cell structure and can avoid a phenomenon, such as mugginess hurting the suitable feeling in use of a supporter made thereof, by adopting a latex rubber as a rubber material having physical properties suitable for the supporter raw material and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: A latex rubber comprising a natural latex, a synthetic latex, or a mixture of these latices is used as the main raw material. The main raw material in an amount of 100 pts.wt. is mixed with 1-20 pts.wt. filler, a cross-linking agent, and other necessary auxiliary materials to give a liquid material. The liquid material in an amount of 100 pts.wt. is mixed with 1-10 pts.wt. gelling agent, and air. The resultant latex foam material M is cross-linked and cured to give a latex foam with an open-cell structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
