PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ice cream having a low milk fat content, no offensive smell and taste peculiar to Konnyaku even if being added with Konnyaku refined flour as dietary fiber, and excellent in flavor and body feeling inherited from ice cream, and to provide a method for producing the ice cream. SOLUTION: The ice cream with the low milk fat content contains Konnyaku refined flour retort paste of Konnyaku refined flour, obtained by admixing 0.1-5.0 wt.% of the devil's tongue refined flour with water and subjecting the product to sealing heating treatment. It is preferable to add 0.5-15 wt.% of the Konnyaku refined flour retort paste of the Konnyaku refined flour to the whole raw material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
