PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dehydrating dredge soil containing shell pieces which can recycle the dredge soil by mechanically dehydrating it without discarding it as industrial waste. SOLUTION: The shell pieces 3, 5 contained in dredged viscous soil 1 are separated by vibrating screens 2, 4 to crush the shell pieces. The resultant shell pieces are mixed with the separated viscous soil again, and then mechanical dehydration is carried out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
