<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slurry composition for an electrode containing a binder having low swelling characteristics against an electrolytic solution and having a superior binding property, the electrode manufactured by using the slurry composition, and furthermore a lithium ion secondary battery having a higher capacity and an improved rate property in combination. <P>SOLUTION: In this slurry composition for the electrode, a polymer X in which 1-olefin-derived monomer unit content is 75 to 92 mol%, and (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-derived monomer unit content is 8 to 25 mol%, and an electrode active material are dispersed in an organic liquid medium, and another polymer Y is dissolved in the organic liquid medium, and a proportion of the polymer X and the polymer Y is 1 : 10 to 10 : 1 by the weight ratio of X : Y. The electrode manufactured by using this slurry composition has a high binding property, and the lithium secondary battery manufactured by using the electrode has a high battery capacity, a superior charge-discharge cycle property, and a rate property. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
