<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information reading device which uses a surface light source for an illuminating means and realizes sufficiently satisfactory reading concerning an object to be read whose surface is shaped like a mirror surface. <P>SOLUTION: A light receiving part constituted of a CCD sensor or the like is arranged in a case whose upper face is formed with a reading port, and a surface light source arranged so as to be inclined to the reading port is arranged along the outer edge of the visual field of the light receiving part. The surface light source is constituted of an LED being a light source, a light guide plate, a diffuse film 22 at the surface side of the light guide plate and two prism sheets 23 and 24 arranged at the surface side of the diffuse film 22. Those prism sheets 23 and 24 are laminated so that prism threads 23a and 24a formation faces can be mutually faced inside, and that the directions of those prism threads 23a and 24a can be crossed at 90 degrees. Lights made incident from the inside prism sheet 24 to the surface side prism sheet 23 are refracted and emitted with strong directivity to an arrow A direction and an arrow B direction being reading port directions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
