<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display element whose organic material is prevented from being crystallized and which is driven with AC and a method for driving the organic EL display element which prevents the organic EL display element from decreasing in luminance. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for driving the organic EL display element, an AC signal is applied between a 1st electrode terminal and a 2nd electrode terminal of the organic EL display element which has a 1st cathode, a 2st organic EL layer, a 1st anode, a 2nd cathode, a 2nd organic EL layer, and a 2nd anode laminated on a substrate and wherein the 1st cathode and 2nd cathode are connected to a 1st electrode terminal and the 1st anode and 2nd cathode are connected to a 2nd electrode terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
