PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for developing an electrostatic latent image and an image forming method using the same, which can obtain high-quality images at a high speed, which have no toner filming to an electrostatic latent image forming body (photoreceptor), which have a proper transfer property, and which can obtain the image without image unevenness. SOLUTION: In the toner for developing electrostatic latent image which comprises, adding an external additive to colored particles consisting of at least a resin and a colorant, with the volume mean particle diameter of the toner being 4.0-8.0μm, and the particles of 2.5μm or smaller are 0.1-10vol.%.
