PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup type drink vending machine capable of shortening the operation time for selling a drink without increasing the work time or work cost for the maintenance of a passage for drink water from a drink water tank. SOLUTION: In this cup type drink vending machine, hot water is injected into a cup C from the drink water tank 40 to produce the drink. This vending machine comprises a steam supplying means 50 for supplying steam G into the hot water storage tank 40. The hot water is injected into the cup C by use of steam pressure Pr by the steam G supplied into the hot water storage tank 40 from the steam supplying means 50, whereby stirring of a powdery ingredient T with hot water is performed while supplying the hot water into the cup C.
