PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-plated product which has a little deterioration caused by use of a brightening agent, as a typical example, the brittleness at high temperature with sulfur and can keep to high strength and has excellent creanliness, and a porous body using this metal-plated product or having low unit weight coating, and a method for producing the metal-plated product. SOLUTION: This metal-plated product is the one formed as glossy surface on the surface and does not contain the brightening agent of substantially, sulfur etc. The glossiness of the glossed surface is desirable to be≥50% as a reflectance, and in the case of constituting with the porous body, it is desirable to form the glossed surface with the plating treatment applying a low frequency vibration, such as 10-120 Hz frequency into solvent for plating treatment.
