DETERGENT COMPOSITION FOR ALGINATE IMPRESSION MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which comes to a detergent for impression materials, has high solubility of an alginate impression material containing a hardly water soluble liquid compound and does not cause reduction in the adhesion between the impression material and a tray even in repeated use by maintaining the contact angle to the surface of a metallic tray low even after its use. SOLUTION: The composition comprises (A) a compound which forms a water soluble chelate compound such as an ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid salt with a calcium ion, (B) an alkali metal salt of phosphoric acid or an alkali metal salt of silicic acid such as disodium hydrogenphosphate, dipotassium hydrogenphosphate and potassium orthosilicate.
