An organic light-emitting diode comprises a light-producing layer stack (1) flanked by two electrodes (3,4) on a carrier substrate (2). There is a three-dimensional structure (7) on or in the substrate which serves to bend or refract the emitted radiation. An Independent claim is also included for a display device comprising many OLEDs as above.
