A bearing assembly (42) for a gas turbine engine rotor (40) includes an annular spring (54) configured to support the gas turbine engine rotor, and an annular damper (120) bearing concentrically aligned with said annular spring, said damper bearing radially outward from said annular spring and configured to support said spring, at least one of said damper bearing and said spring comprising at least one groove (80) defined therein, at least one of said damper bearing and said spring comprising a retainer (140) extending therefrom, said at least one groove sized to receive said retainer therein for coupling said damper bearing to said spring.
