A clip or bar-type locking element (10) on a locking element lever arrangement (9) is moved by a drive device (2) from an unlocked into a locked position and can be encompassed by a swiveling fork latch (13) for a door lock in the unlocked position, so that the locking element (10) draws a vehicle door over the fork latch into its locked position as it moves into its locking position. Force used in closing a vehicle door is compensated by the locking element lever arrangement.
