A combination switch apparatus of this invention includes switches 17 and 18 which can be switched by tilting the combination switch apparatus from a neutral position in a first direction or a second direction. The first switch 17 includes a first fixed contact 35 which is closed upon tilting of the combination switch apparatus in the first direction, and a second fixed contact which is closed upon tilting of the combination switch apparatus in the second direction. The second switch 18 includes a third fixed contact 40 which is closed upon tilting of the combination switch apparatus in the first direction, and a fourth fixed contact which is closed upon tilting of the combination switch apparatus in the second direction. At least a delay time is set between the closing of the fixed contact of the first switch 17 and the closing of the fixed contact of the second switch 18 upon tilting of the combination switch apparatus in the first direction or the second direction. <IMAGE>
