A brush (66), mounted to a seed meter, downwardly and radially extends along a seed disk (40). Seeds in a working seed puddle are retained in a transport seed puddle, formed by the brush, when a planting unit is pivoted from its horizontal working position to its vertical transport position. An Independent claim is also included for a seed meter.
