PURPOSE: A booting method of a terminal where an R-UIM(Removable-User Identity Module) card is mounted is provided to decide whether information stored in a terminal is equal to information stored in an R-UIM card, and to immediately read the information from the terminal if the information is equal, then to start booting up, thereby reducing booting time. CONSTITUTION: A terminal starts booting up(S101), and compares information stored in the terminal with information stored in an R-UIM card. A CPU of the terminal decides whether key values of the stored information are equal(S102). If not(S105), the CPU reads all general user information of the R-UIM card(S106). The CPU generates a new key value for the read information, and stores the information in the R-UIM card and a flash memory of the terminal(S107). If the key values are the same(S108), the CPU reads authentication information from an authentication information storage(S109). The CPU completes the booting of the R-UIM card(S110). A terminal user decides whether to output or input the R-UIM card information(S111).
